Through a joint effort with the Cultural Center of the Region of Central Macedonia and in co-operation with Deputy Mayor of Culture and Volunteers of the Municipality of Ampelokipi – Menemeni we organized an overwhelming event at Lazaristes Monastery-“Sokratis Karantinos Stage” (part of National Theatre of Northern Greece).

Under the title “O!Glyki mou Ear”, the renowned artist Dimitris Mpasis honored us with his performers by singing the hymns with rapture of the Passion of Christ and the Path from the Holy Week Drama to the Resurrection. Accompanied was the Byzantine choir “IDYMELON”, in partnership with the women’s choir of the Municipal Conservatory of Ampelokipi – Menemeni “HYMNODIES”. The two choirs performed hymns and hymns of the Great Holy Week, under the artistic direction of Ioannis Tsamis.

*RESURRECTION -This excellent Byzantine hymn, is a basic Easter hymn. “The Beauty of Your Virginity and The Splendor of Your Purity” is something the Angel Gabriel said to the Virgin Mary.
